On behalf of the entire team at Swing Juice we would like to congratulate Northeastern, Boston University, Vermont and New Hampshire on their bids to the NCAA Hockey tournament.
The ride has been exciting for Vermont so far, as they advanced from the East Regional beating Air Force in double OT, on a goal by Dan Lawson. Vermont moves onto the Frozen Four.
Northeastern lost a heartbreaker to Cornell 3-2, but we would like to praise them for a very good season.
New Hampshire necessitated their season with .1 second left in their semifinal matchup with North Dakota, scoring to send the game into overtime. UNH scored shortly into the overtime period and they advance to play Boston University. Boston University got to the final by way of knocking off Ohio State 8-3.
Stay tuned for future updates as Swing Juice brings coverage of NCAA tournament hockey to our blog.
FYI: New Hampshire and Boston University play at 5:30 today, as Hockey East will send their second member to the Frozen Four.
